Atlantic City’s Borgata Hotel Unveils $55 Million Renovation with Luxe New Suites

Celebration of Borgata Hotel’s 20th Birthday

Atlantic City’s iconic Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa is celebrating its 20th birthday this summer, and it’s investing substantially to commemorate this milestone. The property, owned by MGM Resorts International, recently announced a $55-million overhaul of its Water Club Tower, which will be rebranded as the MGM Tower.

Details of the Renovation

While the resort’s recognizable gold façade will remain intact, guests can anticipate a completely reimagined room experience inside. This includes several brand-new luxury corner suites featuring panoramic city views. The renovation aims to enhance the overall luxury experience offered at Borgata.

Introduction of New Luxuries

“Our guests expect the best-in-class service and amenities. Introducing these newly designed rooms demonstrates our continued focus and commitment to elevating the luxury experience we offer,” noted Travis Lunn, president and COO of Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa.

The company has engaged the design firm RVD Associates, known for their work with prestigious locations such as Arizona’s Canyon Ranch Tucson and the Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach in Southern California. The redesign of the 700 rooms will draw inspiration from the Tower’s prime views over Atlantic City’s Marina District.

  • Natural wood furnishings
  • Blue ombre carpet reflecting ocean hues
  • Oversized windows providing stunning views of the Atlantic and marshlands
  • Vibrant artwork adding color against elegant interiors

The nautical color palette will be complemented by subtle lighting accents throughout the refreshed lobby area. This commitment to aesthetic enhancement showcases Borgata’s dedication to providing a premium experience for its guests.

Community Growth in Atlantic City

Maintaining its standing among Atlantic City’s premium hotels is a significant priority for Borgata. Lunn emphasized, “The Atlantic City market is incredibly competitive, and maintaining Borgata’s competitive edge requires ongoing transformation.” The introduction of luxury Vista Suites, with wraparound city views, reflects this commitment.

The MGM Tower will also feature a new 9,000-square-foot event space, replacing the resort’s Immersion Spa, though guests can still unwind at the remaining Spa Toccare.

As Lunn notes, “Atlantic City has gone through significant reinvestment, with many properties improving their offerings in the last three years. We’re thrilled that Borgata and our new MGM Tower can contribute to the community’s growth.”

Travelers can look forward to experiencing the resort’s redesigned rooms starting in April. Furthermore, the entire makeover is expected to be completed by Memorial Day weekend, offering a fresh luxury experience for visitors.
