Bulgari Hotels & Resorts is bringing its high-fashion luxury clout to Los Angeles. In October, the “Jeweler of Hospitality” announced a new agreement with owner and developer Gary Safady to build the new Bulgari Resort in Los Angeles, with a scheduled opening date in 2025.
“We are extremely happy and proud to announce the signing of definitive agreements to develop the new Bulgari Resort in Los Angeles, the capital of cinema and art which has always been a major Bulgari inspiration from the time of Liz Taylor to the most recent Academy Awards,” said Bulgari’s CEO Jean-Christophe Babin. “The new Bulgari gem represents an extraordinary achievement for the brand to establish in such a key destination for the luxury industry.”
This upcoming property will mark the second Bulgari establishment in the U.S., following the opening of the Miami hotel, which is scheduled to welcome guests in 2024.
The Los Angeles property will sit on a sprawling 33-acre private estate in the Santa Monica Mountains. Moreover, guests will have convenient access to Rodeo Drive, which is merely five miles away.
Plans for this exquisite hotel include:
- 58 luxurious rooms and suites
- Eight private estates
- Bulgari Il Ristorante
- 10,000-square-foot spa
- State-of-the-art gym
- Cinema
- An exclusive eight-seat sushi bar
“We look forward to creating an unparalleled experience of indoor/outdoor living through our enclave of suites, bungalows, and private homes that truly embrace and support the surrounding environment and wildlife,” Safady stated, noting that the eight private estates will soon be available for sale.
Those interested in the private residences will find options ranging in size from 12,000 to 48,000 square feet, each featuring a unique land parcel designed to highlight the picturesque mountains encircling the luxury hotel.
The development will also prioritize environmental sustainability. Hundreds of old-growth and native canopy trees are being preserved, while plans include planting approximately 1,000 additional mature trees to enhance shade and wildlife habitat. Ponds, dry riverbeds, and vegetated bioswales will be incorporated into the landscape, effectively managing stormwater and providing natural hydration for the diverse flora.
Safady emphasized the brand’s ongoing commitment to sustainable hospitality, stating, “As part of our ongoing commitment to the City of Los Angeles, the surrounding community and the environment, we will support various non-profit initiatives in Los Angeles, including a seven-figure contribution as part of our effort to use business as a force for good.”
