Artistic Process

Ifedilichukwu first cleans discarded cans and expertly cuts off their ends to unfurl them. Subsequently, he cuts the cans into strips, which he interweaves to form intricate portraits. The artist’s dedication to his craft is evident, as he is willing to endure cuts from sharp metal edges. “Getting cut is not a problem for me. It will heal,” Ifedilichukwu stated. He believes that experiencing this pain adds depth to his message about the environmental impact of waste.
