Explore Club Med’s New All-Inclusive Ski Resort in Canada: A First Look

Club Med Quebec, the first-ever Club Med resort in Canada, opened on Dec. 3, offering an all-inclusive, ski-in, ski-out experience in the picturesque region of Charlevoix, approximately an hour and a half from Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport. I had the opportunity to experience the property firsthand ahead of its official opening, indulging in skiing (and visiting the spa) for a taste of what Club Med Quebec has to offer.

Why Choose an All-Inclusive Vacation?

The appeal of all-inclusive vacations lies in their simplicity. Your accommodations, meals, activities, and sometimes even childcare are included in your nightly rate, allowing you to relax knowing that everything is taken care of. On the other hand, ski vacations arranged a la carte can be quite labor-intensive; one must consider the cost of lift tickets, ski gear rentals, ski school enrollments, and the hassles of transporting equipment. Consequently, these expenses can accumulate, potentially intimidating first-time visitors.

Streamlined Ski Experience at Club Med Quebec

This is where the convenience of an all-inclusive ski vacation, such as that offered at Club Med Quebec, shines. You can focus solely on whether you’re prepared for that challenging black diamond run. Everything you need is located within the main building—from equipment rentals to ski school sign-ups. Ski lockers are conveniently situated just a short walk from the slopes at Le Massif de Charlevoix, enabling you to enjoy a hassle-free ski holiday in an exquisite location.

Activities Beyond the Slopes

While winter sports are a primary attraction, Club Med Quebec offers numerous activities both on and off the slopes. After a day in the snow, guests can unwind with an après-ski drink at one of two bars or indulge in treatments at the Club Med Spa by Sothys. Dining options include a buffet-style restaurant and a family-style gourmet lounge, with meals made from locally sourced ingredients to reflect the region’s culinary flavors. Year-round activities include hiking, swimming, and various excursions, ensuring that guests of all ages have abundant options. Children’s clubs offer targeted programming, allowing parents to enjoy some free time to ski or relax at the spa.

A Seamless Experience

As a skiing enthusiast who also enjoys related activities like après-ski drinks and cozy evenings by the fire, the experience at Club Med Quebec was perfect. Travel from NYC to Quebec is just a four-hour flight, and upon arrival at Club Med, everything was executed seamlessly and joyfully, thanks to the attentive staff.
