Getting to Lake Needwood

Address: 15700 Needwood Lake Circle, Rockville, Maryland. From the Capital Beltway (I-495), take I-270 to Exit 8 for Shady Grove Road. Follow the exit for Redland Boulevard. Continue on Redland Blvd. to Needwood Road, turn right, and follow the road to the park entrance. Turn left into the park, where multiple parking lots are available. Access for the hiker-biker trail is at the farthest end of the park, with an additional entrance from Avery and Norbeck Roads.

At the Montgomery County border, the trail intersects with Beach Drive, ultimately reaching the Potomac River at the base of Georgetown.
