Updated Safety Measures at Walt Disney World
Visitors to Walt Disney World in Florida should be aware of the new regulations regarding food consumption within the park. This change has been implemented in response to the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. To prioritize the health and safety of guests, eating and drinking while walking is now prohibited. This measure is designed to encourage guests to keep their masks on while moving around the park.
Enhanced Park Safety Protocols
Since its reopening in July, Walt Disney World has introduced a series of safety protocols, including:
- Reduced capacity in the parks to avoid overcrowding
- Temporary suspension of parades, fireworks, and other large events
- Mandatory face coverings for all guests over the age of two and for cast members, except while dining or swimming
Moreover, guests are now required to remain stationary when eating or drinking. It is essential to maintain a safe distance of at least six feet from others, making it crucial to find appropriate spots within the park to consume food or beverages.
Additional Health and Safety Initiatives
In addition to the previously mentioned measures, Walt Disney World has implemented a reservation system for park entry and temperature checks for both staff and guests. To enhance social distancing enforcement, “high-energy squads” have been introduced throughout the park. Unfortunately, interactions with Disney characters have been temporarily halted, and certain high-contact experiences, including makeovers and playground access, are currently unavailable.
Furthermore, hand sanitizing stations are widely available across the park, and designated “relaxation stations” allow guests to safely remove their masks while maintaining social distance. These ongoing adjustments ensure that guests can enjoy their visit while adhering to important health guidelines.
As we navigate the changes brought about by the pandemic, Walt Disney World remains committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all. It is advisable for visitors to stay informed about the latest guidelines and updates as they plan their trips.
