Exciting Vegan Options Coming to Disneyland and Disney World
In a land of corndogs and chocolate-dipped churros, vegans at Disneyland and Disney World may have previously found it challenging to identify perfect meals. However, that’s about to change as the parks announce that most of their restaurants are adding new plant-based options.
According to the Disney Parks Blog, all major quick-service and table-service restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort will soon feature vegan options. Moreover, they will enhance guest experience by adding a leaf symbol to menus, allowing easy identification of suitable items for those following a vegan diet. These new menu items will omit ingredients like meat, dairy, eggs, or honey, and will focus on incorporating vegetables, fruits, grains, and legumes.
The changes will commence in October at Walt Disney World Resort, including new options at theme parks and resort hotels, while Disneyland will see these additions in spring 2020. Consequently, there will be “hundreds of sweet and savory creations” available throughout the parks. In fact, over 400 vegan dishes will be offered across the numerous dining locations. For instance, guests will be able to enjoy steamed Asian dumplings at Le Cellier in Epcot, a Felucian Garden Spread featuring plant-based kefta, hummus, salad, and pita at Docking Bay 7 Food & Cargo in Galaxy’s Edge, and a Pandora-inspired chili-spiced crispy fried tofu bowl from Satu’il Canteen at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
