Devils Backbone Brewing Company, located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, near the Appalachian Trail, is offering the unique position of “2021 Chief Hiking Officer.” The chosen candidate will receive $20,000 (€17,710) to hike the scenic Appalachian Trail while enjoying craft beer. This iconic trail winds through two national parks, eight national forests, and spans across 14 states from Georgia to Maine, while documenting their adventure on social media.

“We will provide our CHO with all necessary gear, arrange travel to the trailhead, and host some exciting beer events along the journey,” said Devils Backbone. “The successful applicant needs to genuinely love hiking and craft beer, as we are looking for someone passionate enough to tackle 2200 miles while camping under the stars for five to seven months.” This opportunity promises a blend of adventure and relaxation.
