As the Methodology Writer for the iBestTravel Travel verticals, I conduct thorough research on various product categories, analyze how competitors assess these categories, interview industry experts to gain professional insights, develop comprehensive test methodologies for real-world and lab testing, and coordinate the selection of testers for these evaluations.

Professional Experience

With a strong background in journalism and communications, I contributed to my university newspaper, The Spectator, throughout my undergraduate studies, serving in various capacities such as Writer, Photographer, Director of Photography, and Editor for the Arts & Entertainment section.

I frequently travel to my hometown, San Francisco, CA, and have explored numerous cities across the U.S., Canada, France, Italy, Spain, the U.K., and Japan (and I intend to expand this list!). Whether enjoying a short overnight trip or a week-long adventure, my tendency to overpack has honed my skills as a master organizer and efficient packer.

I am also a proud cat mom to two lively 2-year-old cats, Misty and Milo. They are a bonded brother-sister pair I adopted in Seattle and brought with me to New York, which has given them some travel experience as well. Growing up, I cared for various pets including cats, dogs, and fish. Additionally, I provided pet care for friends and neighbors and worked as a Rover dog walker during my college years.

Elise earned a B.A. in English with a minor in French at Seattle University from 2016 to 2020.
