Emirates Elevates Its Premium Economy Experience
Flying on Emirates is always a luxurious experience. However, the famed airline is leveling up to ensure they remain a leader in the airline industry, even in economy.
In December, the airline announced plans to elevate its signature A380 experience “to the next level” by introducing a new premium economy cabin product along with updated enhancements to its entire cabin layout.
Enhancements to the Premium Economy Class
Sir Tim Clark, president of Emirates Airline, stated, “The Emirates A380 is already one of the most sought-after travel experiences in the skies, and now we’ve made it even better.” He emphasized that while other airlines are cutting back, Emirates is committed to restoring and improving its products and services.
The airline acquired the A380 aircraft in late December, which features the new premium economy cabins. Furthermore, these premium economy seats will also be retrofitted onto some of the Boeing 777X aircraft.
Redefining Premium Experience
Clark noted, “Our premium economy product was carefully developed in line with Emirates’ brand positioning as a full-service airline of the highest quality.” He believes that Emirates’ new offering will set a new standard for premium economy experiences.
Currently, the airline will provide passengers with a complimentary upgrade to the premium economy experience, allowing them to test out the new class.
Comfort and Modern Amenities
The new seats will feature up to a 40-inch pitch, 19.5 inches in width, and can recline up to 8 inches for maximum comfort. Additionally, these seats are covered with anti-stain leather to enhance the overall aesthetics. Passengers will also enjoy a personal 13.3″ screen, recognized as one of the largest in its class, ensuring that entertainment options are readily available. Moreover, modern amenities like in-seat charging points are included to enhance convenience.
First Class Suite Upgrades
Other updates include the expansion of the airline’s 14 first-class private suites, which are now wider and equipped with taller doors for improved passenger privacy. The interiors have been refreshed with a new champagne and cream color scheme, providing a quick facelift for 2021. Soon, travelers will be able to experience these luxurious upgrades in person.
