Testing the Equal-i-zer Hitch on the Road
I conducted two types of tests with the Equal-i-zer Hitch. The first involved a drive from Castle Rock, Colorado to Casper, Wyoming. This route primarily followed Interstate 25, known for its susceptibility to high winds and heavy traffic, which can challenge anyone towing a significant load.
During this portion of the test, I was pleased to find that the performance of the Equal-i-zer was largely unobtrusive. Assembly of the Equal-i-zer was straightforward; however, locating the appropriate ball hitch to connect the system was challenging. A practical recommendation would be to have an RV dealer or store handle the installation of the entire hitch and ball, which they usually do if you purchase the equipment there.
Another minor issue was the noise produced by the sway control. Fortunately, this was resolved by applying grease to the sockets and readjusting the hitch angle.
