4. Getting There

For public transport, Greyhound and TNM&O bus lines serve the area, and New Mexico Airlines connects Carlsbad with Albuquerque. Major airlines offer services to nearby airports in Roswell, El Paso, Lubbock, and Midland.
5. Fees and Permits
An Entrance Fee ticket is necessary for all visitors entering Carlsbad Cavern, valid for three days. America the Beautiful pass holders can admit themselves and three additional adults. A free backcountry use permit is required for those planning to camp.

Pets are allowed in the park but must be leashed and are restricted from trails and caves. A concessioner operates a kennel service for daytime use, offering a safe space for pets.
