Fiesta Bowl Parade 2025: Experience Phoenix’s Iconic Celebration

The Fiesta Bowl Parade is one of the most popular events leading up to the annual football game hosted in the Valley of the Sun. Thousands gather to enjoy spectacular floats, giant balloons, and live performances along the two-mile parade route in central Phoenix.

Location and Schedule

The parade begins at 10 a.m. local time on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at N. Central Ave & W Montebello Ave in Phoenix, AZ.

The parade route starts at Central Avenue, just north of Montebello Avenue. It travels south to Camelback Road, east to 7th Street, and south again to a conclusion just south of Minnezona Avenue. Typically, there are about 100 entries, featuring floats, balloons, bands, equestrian groups, and honorary participants, including this year’s Grand Marshal. Previous parades showcased entertaining attractions like duck races and themed balloons.

The Fiesta Bowl Parade is free for all attendees. Spectators can choose any open spot along the parade route to watch the festivities. However, reserved seating is available at Missouri & Central for $30.00 each, and $10.00 for accessible seating. Tickets are purchasable online or through a phone call to 480-350-0911.

The parade can also be streamed live at azfamily.com or on the 3TV News mobile app, hosted by well-known newscasters.

Public Transportation

To avoid the hassle of traffic and limited parking, utilizing public transportation is advisable. Options are available via Valley Metro Rail, with the Central/Camelback station providing the easiest access to the parade.

For motorists, the Arizona Department of Transportation offers detailed information on travel and road restrictions for the event. They recommend checking for the latest traffic updates by calling 5-1-1, then *7. This service is free.

Parking

Finding street parking will be challenging, and meter rates apply on weekends. Parking lots along the parade route will charge fees. It is crucial to park on the side of the route from which you wish to leave, as navigating the parade route will be difficult for several hours once it begins.

Parade Tips

Prepare for the local weather in Phoenix during late December and early January by dressing in layers and wearing comfortable footwear.

Here are some recommendations from the Fiesta Bowl Committee:

  • For the best views if you’re not in reserved seating, aim for Central and Camelback or 7th Street and Camelback. Pre-parade entertainment occurs at both locations, so arriving early is advisable. Many attendees secure good spots several hours before the parade begins, with some arriving as early as 6 a.m.
  • Bring along chairs, snacks, and drinks. The morning can be chilly, so prepare accordingly.
  • Restrooms are available along the parade route for convenience.
  • Don’t forget your camera to capture the fun!
