Fiji’s Tourism Surge: A Growing Destination
Fiji enjoyed a significant increase in tourist arrivals in 2015, surpassing its target by 40,835 visitors, bringing the total to 754,835 visitors last year.
The substantial growth in visitor arrivals can be credited to several factors, including increased collaboration among stakeholders, effective support from Tourism Fiji for industry improvements, and a conducive economic environment fostered by the government. “2015 is a milestone year for the tourism industry in Fiji. The growth of the industry is unparalleled. We have well and truly surpassed all expectations, and we should all be proud of it,” stated Tourism Fiji’s executive chairman, Truman Bradley.
This remarkable progress establishes Fiji as an enticing travel destination, appealing to a wide array of travelers, from adventure seekers to those looking to relax on stunning beaches. Consequently, Fiji’s growing tourism industry represents a thriving economy, bolstered by diverse offerings and engaging experiences that highlight its rich culture and natural beauty.
