Jennifer Lopez’s Golden Globe Tribute on JetBlue
In honour of her Golden Globe best supporting actress nomination for her role in Hustlers, a devoted fan of Jennifer Lopez inspired JetBlue to pay tribute to the renowned actress and singer.
Joseph Longo effectively persuaded the crew aboard a flight from New York to Los Angeles to make an announcement recommending that passengers watch Hustlers on the in-flight entertainment system. This engaging film revolves around a group of strippers who resort to dubious tactics to deceive their targets when the recession strikes. It features Constance Wu as the naive stripper Destiny, and J.Lo as Ramona, a star dancer who mentors her.
In a tweet, Longo expressed his determination to make sure everyone on board enjoyed the film in celebration of the nomination. His message caught the attention of a JetBlue pilot, leading a crew member to announce the suggestion for passengers. Longo declared, “The friendly skies support our Fly Girl!”
This mid-air show of support reached J.Lo, who found it “amazing” and jokingly offered Longo a chance to be her back-up dancer “any day.” In a twist of generosity, JetBlue proposed to fly Longo to Los Angeles in the airline’s premium cabin, contingent on Lopez being able to secure his participation in the award ceremony. Should this come to pass, it would undoubtedly resemble the narrative of a heartwarming film.
