Miami Beach: North America’s Leading Destination
Can’t decide between a beach trip and a city trip? In Miami Beach, you won’t have to. The seaside vacation hot spot was just named North America’s Leading Beach Destination and North America’s Leading City Destination at the 2023 World Travel Awards. This recognition celebrates excellence in tourism, highlighting the best in destinations, hotels, and tours.
Miami Beach Overview
The ever-evolving destination is perhaps best known for its white-sand beaches, however, it’s also recognized for its luxurious beach hotels and vibrant nightlife scene. Moreover, South Beach is particularly famous for its highly photogenic art deco hotels, which attract visitors for memorable photos and experiences.
Experiences and Activities
Prefer cultural excursions over bars and clubs? Miami Beach offers a plethora of options. You can visit the Bass Museum of Art to see contemporary works, or alternatively, catch a classical music concert at the New World Center. Therefore, whether you’re an art enthusiast or a nightlife lover, Miami Beach caters to diverse interests.
If you can’t get to Miami Beach anytime soon, you can still experience the destination through its newly launched app: EXP Miami Beach. This handy app allows you to plan your future itinerary by exploring the top things to do, including culinary experiences and wellness offerings.
Miami Beach is a global destination that seamlessly blends the natural beauty of its beaches with notable city experiences. Christopher Rollins, chair of the Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority, expressed pride in the recent World Travel Awards in acknowledging Miami Beach as a leading beach and city destination in North America.
Award Winners
Two Miami Beach hotels also received prestigious awards this year: the Moxy Miami South Beach was recognized as the United States’ Leading Design Hotel, while the Fontainebleau Miami Beach was named Florida’s Leading Hotel, with its Sorrento Penthouse acclaimed as Florida’s Leading Hotel Suite.
