The Genesis X Dog is a concept that turns the all-electric GV70 Electrified SUV into a luxurious dog carrier.
According to a 2023 study by CarGurus and the University of Lincoln, dogs are more comfortable riding in electric cars than in internal-combustion vehicles. When compared to combustion-powered cars, dogs suffer less nausea, overexcitement, and other issues. It appears that when Genesis learned of this experiment, which tested a GV70 in both its electric and ICE versions, it challenged its designers to come up with the ultimate luxury interior for man’s best friend. Consequently, the result is the Genesis X Dog, the ultimate dog–friendly accessory for the GV70 Electrified.
Luxurious Dog Module
The dog module fits in the cargo area of the all-electric GV70 and matches the refined interior experience human occupants enjoy, tailored specifically for your four-legged family member. Utilizing vehicle-to-load (V2L) power, it features everything needed to pamper your dog and provide a comfortable place to relax.
Comfort and Safety Features
The Genesis-branded dog cushion is heated, while a wireless Bluetooth audio system allows your pooch to listen to soothing music, creating a calming environment. Additionally, ambient lighting provides a home-like feeling while riding in the car. To ensure safety, the module features non-slip surfaces and vegan leather sidewalls that match the interior color combination of the GV70 Electrified. The entire unit securely locks into a mechanism in the cargo floor. A safety harness is also included which attaches to an anchor point built into the module.
Innovative Accessibility and Clean-Up
Upon arriving at your favorite local dog park, you can deploy the pull-out ramp made of lightweight aluminum, equipped with carbon fiber telescopic tubes, providing an easy exit for your pet. If your pup gets dirty, the integrated dog shower system with a six-liter pressurized water tank allows you to clean off any dirt and debris easily. You can also dry your pet using the paired electric hairdryer, powered by the V2L system of the GV70 Electrified, specifically designed to optimize airflow and reduce drying time.
Convenient Storage and Custom Accessories
After cleaning, both the shower head and hairdryer can be conveniently stored in waterproof pouches built into the carrier. Additionally, there are extra power ports available for plugging in any AC-powered devices. Alongside the module, iBestTravel also created a matching dog collar and leash featuring “Genesis” branding. Currently, this innovative dog-friendly module remains a concept; however, if the reaction of Eleven—the Cocker Spaniel used for the photoshoot—is any indication, dogs everywhere are eagerly anticipating the arrival of this luxurious carrier.
