In November 2013, Ghirardelli took over the Soda Fountain segment, revitalizing the space with a modern redesign and their signature menu.

At the Ghirardelli Soda Fountain, traditional ice cream parlor elements have been replaced with an array of delectable sundaes, shakes, and floats, complemented by a comprehensive coffee menu. The chocolate used here is sourced from Ghirardelli in San Francisco, while the ice cream comes from Dreyer’s, a Nestle brand. However, the non-sweet menu has been removed, meaning popular kid favorites like the Mickey Mouse PB&J and grilled cheese are no longer available. The interior décor has also been altered, losing some nostalgic charm, but it remains a go-to destination for delicious sugary treats.
Disney enthusiasts will particularly enjoy the Pin Trader Delight Sundae, which includes a limited edition Disney trading pin. Four new pins are released concurrently, showcasing various Disney movies, allowing guests to select a pin to accompany their Sundae, enhancing the overall experience.

On the right side of the establishment, you’ll find the Disney Studio Store, offering an assortment of Disney DVDs, merchandise, and children’s costumes from various films. An interactive kiosk provides access to the entire Buena Vista Home Entertainment catalog, featuring both classic and contemporary Disney DVDs. To stay updated on new pin releases for the Pin Trader Delight Sundae and to learn about upcoming special events, visitors can check the Disney Store Hollywood Facebook Page.
During significant special events, such as new merchandise launches, the store may extend its hours and alter regular operations for both the Disney Store and the Soda Fountain. Notably, during the September 2015 Star Wars Force Friday merchandise event, Pin Trader Sundaes were unavailable for two days.
