Discover 6 Unique Rock Cabins at This Glamping Resort Near Budapest

Introduction to Treehouses Kapolcs

Mindfully built in the rolling hills of the Hungarian farmlands, about 90 miles southwest of Budapest, is Treehouses Kapolcs resort. This hotel, comprising six cottages in rural Csóromfölde, Hungary, is also dubbed “Rocks” because of the “Rock Cabins'” irregular, boulder-like shapes, designed by the architecture studio Hello Wood. The space opened to the public in February 2022.

Features of the Cabins

The cabins are crafted with “irregular planes and dark gray wooden panels,” showcasing polished rock and intentional angling that harmonize with the stunning landscape. The striking stone-like appearance of the cabins allows them to blend seamlessly yet distinctively within the surrounding Balaton Uplands, which are famous for their natural beauty. Notably, the resort is conveniently located just 20 minutes from Hungarian attractions such as Lake Balaton and Veszprém Castle.
