The Global Auto Salon in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, wasn’t just any car show. It was a weeklong celebration of all things automotive. This extraordinary event combined elements of a classic car show, off-road expo, carnival, and more, resulting in an electrifying atmosphere that attracted numerous enthusiasts.
Thrilling Events and Record-Breaking Stunts
The experience began with a breathtaking performance as the human cannonball, David “The Bullet” Smith, attempted to break a world record. Although the exact distance has been debated, the spectacle was undoubtedly captivating. Following this, renowned stuntman Terry Grant showcased his skills by navigating a modified Jaguar F-Pace through a 64-foot loop, successfully earning an official Guinness World Record.
The Hoonigans and Drift Experiences
The Hoonigans set up an exciting Burnyard and invited locals to participate. What began as a modest gathering quickly transformed into a thrilling display of high-powered drift cars performing burnouts and donuts, showcasing remarkable skill and creativity.
Team Nitto graced the event with talented drivers like Vaughn Gittin Jr., Muath Al-Essa, Loren Healy, and Nick Nelson. They thrilled the crowd by using a diverse range of vehicles, including an Ultra-4 rock racer and unlimited desert trucks. The sight of these incredible machines racing and jumping was truly a crowd-pleaser.
Exciting Paid Experiences
The event also featured paid experiences that captivated attendees. Feld Motorsports brought in a variety of Monster Jam trucks, offering two thrilling shows each night, accompanied by an adrenaline-fueled freestyle motocross opening. Gravedigger made a special appearance, delighting fans of all ages. Additionally, a stunt-filled comedy show titled “Police Academy” brought international entertainment to the stage.
The festivities extended beyond thrilling performances, encompassing a massive food court, nightly concerts, demonstration sessions from drift teams, and even a Formula 1 racecar showcase featuring Ferrari. The evenings concluded with spectacular fireworks, contributing to the overall celebratory atmosphere.
