Preparing interesting meals for our families multiple times a day can be quite challenging. However, Velas Resorts has introduced a new initiative that makes cooking more enjoyable and convenient.
This Mexico-based resort chain offers creative culinary assistance by tailoring delicious recipes using items commonly found in your pantry. On the website, you can submit a list of available ingredients or a photo of your pantry. Their chefs will then craft a recipe specifically designed around what you have on hand.
Michel Mutière, the culinary director of Velas Resorts, stated, “We wanted to do something special for our guests and followers. Personalized customer service at the resorts is a priority for us, so why not continue providing it wherever they are now?”
The responses vary widely, from shrimp in creamy lemon sauce to traditional Northern Mexican discada. Chefs provide a personalized email with thoughtful recipes and multiple cooking tips, often encouraging recipients to share a picture of their finished dish.
In one instance, a client requested recipes to be “as simple as possible.” Chef Bert Bonnarens from Grand Velas Los Cabos responded with three diverse ideas: flamenco asparagus, spaghetti a la puttanesca, and apple and beetroot roses—all of which initially seem complex until you delve into the recipe details.
This culinary service is part of a larger initiative by Velas Resorts designed to enhance the online experience while helping individuals, who may be quarantined, to enjoy a resort-like atmosphere at home.
Launching on March 24 and intended to run for forty days, this program features various activities on Velas Resorts’ social media. These include tips on maintaining productivity and entertainment during challenging times.
Activities also cater to children, featuring coloring pages and craft projects, as well as guidelines for creating a resort-style atmosphere at home—like tips on making your bed resort-style. Additionally, wellness suggestions include DIY salt scrubs and instructions for creating personalized mandalas.
