Hôtel Costes: Discover Paris’s Stylish New Sister Hotel, Castiglione

Discover Hôtel Costes and Castiglione: A Fashionista’s Haven in Paris

Hôtel Costes has long been recognized as one of the trendiest addresses in the French capital, and now, it has an equally stylish partner: Castiglione. This new establishment offers a modern take on classic Parisian elegance, making it the perfect backdrop for showcasing this season’s most fashionable looks.

Styled by Ewa Kluczenko, modeled by Nelly Herin of Girl MGMT, and featuring hair by Olivier Noraz, and makeup by Ania Grzeszczuk, this atmosphere is full of flair and sophistication.

The Allure of Hôtel Costes

Since its inception in 1995, Hôtel Costes has maintained its status as a fashionable hotspot on the prestigious Rue St.-Honoré. Designed by interiors expert Jacques Garcia, the hotel deviated from minimalism with its lavish bordello-inspired decor, attracting a core clientele that includes the fashion elite. While the competition in Paris boasts an array of luxurious accommodations, Costes remains unmatched in allure.

Notably, key fashion influencers and design teams, such as those from Valentino, continually return to this iconic venue, making it a must-visit for those eager to partake in the Parisian fashion scene.

An Unforgettable Experience

David Downton, a renowned British illustrator, shared, “The first thing everyone told me when I was new in fashion was, ‘The camel craps and the caravan moves on.’ But it never moved on from the Costes.” Downton’s experiences during haute couture show seasons highlight how integral this hotel is to the fashion world.

Costes exudes a unique charm, with rooms adorned in sumptuous Pierre Frey silk and filled with the fragrant scent of fresh roses. Moreover, the hotel’s restaurant patio is always buzzing with fashionable guests, showcasing their outfits before and after high-profile events like the Chanel show, creating a parade of style.

The Evolution with Castiglione

On the heels of Costes’ success comes Castiglione, a new wing located in what was previously Hôtel Lotti on the Rue de Castiglione. This new space promises a fresh architectural design while maintaining a sense of sophistication. Although separate from the original hotel, it shares an elegant lobby and check-in area.

Jean-Louis Costes acknowledges a transformation in his approach, seeking the expertise of established designers. The legendary Christian Liaigre, known for his minimalist touch, has imparted a mature style to Castiglione, evident in its warm wood paneling and luxurious furnishings.

Luxurious Accommodations

Rooms at Castiglione are notably spacious, with even the smallest accommodations being nearly 500 square feet, and some deluxe suites outfitted with rowing machines. One suite features a sprawling private terrace overlooking the stunning sculpture, Le Secret, by David Altmejd.

A New Era of Hospitality

Castiglione’s upcoming amenities will include a private elevator and a VIP entrance, reflecting a move toward exclusivity, catering to high-profile guests. Additionally, a general manager will oversee operations, ensuring a meticulously curated experience for all visitors.

While the traditional Costes experience often involved navigating restrictions, there is a bright future ahead with the opening of Castiglione. As the Parisian landscape evolves, this vibrant integration of style, elegance, and fashion continues to thrive.

Doubles at Castiglione from $1,450.
