2. Ibiza: A Premier Vacation Destination
As the most famous party capital in the world, Ibiza draws crowds with its non-stop parties, chic lounges, and stylish bars. However, this Balearic island also offers picturesque beaches, world-class dining, unique boutiques, and luxury hotels, making it the quintessential vacation destination.
3. The Return of Ibiza’s Nightlife
After a hiatus due to the pandemic, Ibiza’s nightlife is back in full swing. We caught up with DJs Chris and Steve Martinez, known as the Martinez Brothers, who recently celebrated the island’s official season opening at W Ibiza’s W Lounge, where they unveiled the remix of their latest track, “Tócame,” in collaboration with music producer Any Loida Sanson. The party continues at the hotel’s new “mini club” Below, featuring exclusive industry names throughout the summer.
4. Martinez Brothers’ Recommendations
Having frequented Ibiza since 2007, the Martinez Brothers consider the island their second home. This summer, they will headline their first solo residency at the iconic music venue Hï Ibiza, running from June 14 until September 27.
Favorite Dining Spots
“We really like Capuccino [Grand Café] down at the marina,” they shared. The brothers also recommend Blue Marlin and Ibiza Thai. They added, “There’s a Mexican spot called El Deseo, which has exceptional Mexican food — the best on the island, featuring delicious tacos and amazing quesadillas. We also love an Italian restaurant we frequently visit: Dolce Vite.”
Shopping Hotspots
When it comes to shopping, the Martinez Brothers recommend Antonioli, a designer shop known for its trendy clothing. Additionally, they suggest checking out Capote, a new sunglasses store featuring stylish frames.
5. Unique Souvenirs
For a truly local souvenir, they suggest a bottle of Hierbas, a sugar cane liquor made exclusively in Ibiza. Chris and Steve described it as sweet and reminiscent of Sambuca, stating, “It’s our go-to drink: Hierbas on ice.” This unique beverage represents the essence of Ibiza’s local culture.
6. Must-See Spots
The brothers recommended a visit to Cala Jondal beach and suggested exploring Atlantis (Pedrera de Cala d’Hort), which requires a bit of a hike but is worth the effort. They emphasized the importance of visiting Es Vedrà, a striking rock formation in the Mediterranean, known for its magical aura.
