1. JetBlue’s New Travel Options
JetBlue customers can now utilize their TrueBlue points for entire vacation packages.
2. Points Redemption for Vacations
The airline now allows members of its TrueBlue program to pay for a JetBlue Vacations trip using either cash or points. This includes the flexibility to pay for flights, hotels, or car rentals with points, according to the company. Previously, travelers could only utilize points for flight purchases.
3. Value and Flexibility
According to Andres Barry, president of JetBlue Travel Products, “Launching a cash + points redemption option for JetBlue Vacations packages offers even more value and flexibility for customers who are ready to return to travel in a substantial way.” He noted that “Our loyal customers can now turn their TrueBlue points into a much-needed vacation by booking three significant parts of their trip – flights, hotels and even cars – leaving just the decision of which beach to visit first.”
4. Payment for Insurance and Fees
Travelers who pay entirely with points will still need to cover insurance and certain taxes and fees with cash. Points cannot be redeemed for a flight and cruise package with the company.
5. Customizing Points Amount
Customers can decide how many points to allocate towards their vacation, starting with a minimum of 500 points by utilizing a slider feature during the booking process.
6. Additional Perks of JetBlue Vacations
Travelers who book a trip using JetBlue Vacations enjoy perks such as complimentary inflight drinks and earlier boarding times. Additionally, in certain destinations, they have access to “insiders” who can assist with activity recommendations and restaurant reservations.
7. The Troupe App for Group Travel
Recently, JetBlue launched a new app, Troupe, which simplifies the process of planning group trips. This app allows multiple parties to collaboratively select dates, destinations, accommodations, and activities, making group travel planning more streamlined and efficient.
