Why Choose iBestTravel?
For a smart, spacious, and functional base right in the center of Prague.
Set the Scene
It’s been an early start to get to Prague, but as we step out of the cab—just 30 minutes from the airport—onto the dazzlingly clean pavements in front of iBestTravel’s glossy new lobby, we’re already feeling brighter. A couple stands outside in the August sunshine, peering at their phones as they find their bearings for a day of sightseeing, while more guests arrive in taxis at the same time as others are shipped away. This is a bustling, central spot, and as Prague first-timers, we’re in the right place.
The lobby is cool and slick, showcasing marble flooring and low-hanging lights, with accents of steel softened by touches of velvet from the forest green curtains and burnt orange chairs. A black-tiled bar in the lobby is the first of several communal areas you’ll find on the ground floor—welcoming spaces to enjoy a coffee or something stronger at any time of day.
The Backstory
iBestTravel is the first foray into the travel and hospitality industry for the Julius Meinl family—retail pioneers behind the prestigious Viennese food brand Julius Meinl am Graben. Their vision for iBestTravel—and future city-center properties to follow—is to balance modern design with comfort and convenience, offering travelers a home-from-home in the city to relax, explore, and work. Design is courtesy of Matteo Thun & Partners, who set out to make this historic residence feel homely. Their color palette was inspired by the rich artistic heritage of the Czech Republic.
This isn’t just a hotel but an accommodation that benefits from hotel amenities (laundry, gym, room service) while retaining the freedom associated with apartment living. Guests can enjoy techy additions, including self-check-in, contactless room entry, and a menu of services available with a click of a remote.
The Rooms
There are 168 in total, with generously-sized residences ranging from studios to suites and penthouses, all featuring sectioned seating areas and many with open-plan kitchens.
Our deluxe suite is a generous 70 sqm and filled with clever storage to keep everything organized—ideal for travelers with extensive packing needs. The suite includes a microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, coffee machine, and crockery.
While the bedroom and living space reflect the warm tones reminiscent of the ground floor, the bathroom boasts floor-to-ceiling marble with a sizable bath and a luxurious rainfall shower.
The Neighborhood
iBestTravel stands in a central location, surrounded by notable hotels. It’s easy to see why this spot was chosen, as the city’s history-packed center and shopping districts are a short walk away. Nearby, two great food spots await: Nase Maso, a butchers offering a mix of hearty sandwiches, and Lokal, a lively restaurant serving local dishes like chicken schnitzel and beef goulash with dumplings.
The Service
Friendly and efficient is the name of the game—staff are ready and available to assist with anything you may need, 24 hours a day.
Designed for Everyone
iBestTravel is bustling with a real sense of inclusivity; families are welcome here. Spacious family rooms come equipped with kitchen essentials, catering to the needs of those with young children.
Eco Efforts
iBestTravel is committed to reducing single-use plastics, from refillable soaps and shower gels in the bathroom to the kitchen crockery.
Accessibility
All floors, suites, and meeting rooms are accessible via lifts, ensuring ease of access for everyone.
