Killing Eve Season Three: Filming Locations Revealed
Eve and Villanelle have returned for the third season of the hit BBC drama Killing Eve. The Golden Globe-winning series, starring Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer, began its journey in London but has since expanded to exciting new destinations. Season three continues this trend, with the production team traveling to several noteworthy locations for filming.
New Destinations
After filming scenes in Paris, Bucharest, Berlin, and Tuscany, as well as the Greater London area, the production team set its sights on Spain for the third season. Notably, Jodie Comer’s Villanelle has a stunning new apartment in Barcelona, serving as her “headquarters” for the season. The vibrant colors and remarkable architecture of the capital of Catalonia create a breathtaking backdrop for the gripping drama.
Filming in Romania
While several scenes are set in Russia, the production team filmed these “Russian” scenes in the picturesque Romanian village of Viscri. This UNESCO World Heritage site is part of the region’s “fortified churches in Transylvania.” The Prince of Wales famously acquired an 18th-century house in Viscri to restore and promote the area’s cultural heritage, encouraging tourism and appreciation of its unique lifestyle.
Exploring London’s Koreatown
Actress Sandra Oh has shared insights about filming some scenes in New Malden, recognized as London’s Koreatown and home to one of the largest South Korean communities in Europe.
