Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard Create Cozy Makeshift Bedroom During Airport Delay

Airport Delays

Airport delays can be frustrating, and this is equally true for celebrities like Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard. Recently, the Hollywood couple found themselves stranded at a Boston airport, struggling to secure hotel accommodations.

Makeshift Bedroom Setup

In a resourceful move, they decided to create a cozy “bedroom” in the terminal. As shown in a video shared on Shepard’s Instagram, they laid out blankets and sheets purchased on-site and relaxed with travel neck pillows.

Bell humorously noted, “Moms be doin’ what moms be doin’,” capturing the essence of improvisation during unexpected challenges.

Overall, the couple estimated spending approximately $600 on bedding and pillows. Shepard added a comical touch to the situation by mentioning, “The punchline is even though I spent $350 on neck pillows and blankets, I decided to just buy one toothbrush for the whole family to share. I wanted to save $2.30 so we’re ahead a little bit.”

Creativity in Travel

Bell also took to her Instagram to share their nine-hour experience through stories, highlighting their adaptability in such an unusual situation. As captured by The Today Show, she mentioned, “We made quite a home here,” alongside a photo taken outside the bathroom.

Sadly, their makeshift setup was short-lived, as airport staff eventually asked them to leave. Fortunately, the couple connected with acquaintances who welcomed them into their home at 1 a.m., allowing them to rest comfortably.

Bell is no stranger to traveling with her family. Before the pandemic, she shared on iBestTravel her strategies for keeping children entertained during flights. This included using stickers and snacks to engage her kids, as well as combatting travel-related stress through methods like eye masks and CBD.
