The Soul of Peckham

For decades, London has been a destination for Nigerians moving abroad. South of the River Thames you'll find Peckham, a multicultural district sometimes referred to as 'Little Lagos,' where the prominent British Nigerian actor John Boyega grew up.

Highlighting Cultural Narratives

Michael's mother is the star of his short film 'Entitled,' (2018) and the face of a new exhibition at South London Gallery called 'Lagos, Peckham, Repeat: Pilgrimage to the Lakes' that explores the district's relationship with Nigerian diaspora.
