German airline Lufthansa is significantly expanding its presence in the United States, adding new flights and enhancing its robust lineup of international routes. With a goal to facilitate greater connectivity, Lufthansa is strategically increasing its offerings.

New Flights from North Carolina and Minneapolis

Beginning in early June, Lufthansa will launch year-round flights from Raleigh-Durham to Frankfurt, operating five times each week on an Airbus A330 aircraft. This new route will complement Lufthansa’s existing flights from Charlotte, providing more opportunities for travelers in North Carolina.

Similarly, in June, another exciting addition will be the launch of flights to Frankfurt from Minneapolis, operated on a Boeing 787 aircraft. This route will also run five times a week throughout the year, allowing travelers from the Midwest enhanced access to Europe.

New Routes from Seattle and Increased Frequencies

Moreover, Lufthansa is set to introduce direct flights from Seattle to Munich next summer, utilizing the A350-900 aircraft. This new route will double the airline’s current service frequency from Washington, thereby boosting connectivity for passengers in the region.

In addition to these new routes, Lufthansa is increasing the frequency of existing flights from several key U.S. cities, including Austin, Dallas, Orlando, and San Diego. This expansion reflects the airline’s commitment to offering more travel options and greater convenience for its customers.

Enhanced Travel Experience

Furthermore, as part of its expansion plans, Lufthansa is preparing to roll out an exciting new business class upgrade. This upgrade will feature floor-to-ceiling privacy walls and private minibars, significantly enhancing the travel experience for passengers. Additionally, the airline offers the chance to enjoy a “sleeper’s row,” which consists of three or four seats in economy class on long-haul flights, allowing more comfort during travel.
