Luxury Alaskan Chalet: $15K/Night with Private Chef, Northern Lights & Adventure

Ultimate Luxury Getaway in Alaska’s Wild

For those who have always dreamed of immersing themselves in the wild without sacrificing comfort, this might be the ultimate escape. Luxury vacation rental company Stay One Degree is offering an Alaska chalet situated in a secluded mountain location surrounded by panoramic vistas, featuring upscale touches at every turn.

A Unique Location Near Denali National Park

The location, nestled near Denali National Park, provides such remoteness that there is no Wi-Fi or mobile signal. However, the experience is exquisite, as guests are welcomed with Champagne and seafood created by a world-class chef upon arrival.

Redefining Wilderness Experience

Traditionally, an overnight stay in Denali meant sleeping in a tent with freeze-dried food or in the basic Mountain House, which offered typical camp fare and the use of an outhouse. This ultra-luxury chalet, built over 50 years, transforms this experience with its prime national park location on the southern slopes of North America’s highest peak at an elevation of 5,800 feet.

The journey began in 1966 when explorer Don Sheldon established a basecamp in the area, aspiring to construct a 212-square-foot hut on a five-acre rock—a location he deemed one of the most special places on Earth. With the summit of Denali only 10 miles away, the views are nothing short of extraordinary.

Three generations later, the Sheldon family realized this vision. The hexagonal-shaped chalet, completed in 2015, offers expansive views from every angle, alongside its viewing decks and outdoor fire pit. Inside, the ground-floor living space features a lounge, reading area, fully equipped kitchen, large dining table, private bar, and sauna, in addition to five bedrooms and two bathrooms, accommodating up to 10 guests.
