Autocamp Catskills is now open just in time for summer glamping adventures. The Catskills region in New York has always attracted urbanites seeking a peaceful escape from the fast pace of city life. Moreover, the area’s charming historic towns, vibrant cultural scene, and breathtaking landscapes have solidified its status as a year-round vacation hotspot. Consequently, there has been a notable increase in new hotel openings, ranging from trendy boutique inns to sprawling luxury resorts, providing travelers with a wide array of accommodation options. A new glamping site will allow visitors to soak in the stunning scenery and reconnect with nature while enjoying resort-style amenities.
Unique Accommodations at Autocamp Catskills
Autocamp, an award-winning hospitality brand known for its stylish camps located in some of the nation’s iconic national parks, has expanded its East Coast presence with the opening of its second location in West Saugerties, New York, on June 14. This expansive property spans 37 acres and features 65 Airstream trailers, 10 cabins, and 10 “BaseCamps,” which consist of an Airstream and a luxurious tent. Additionally, amenities include an on-site hot tub and pool. True to the company’s philosophy of “great design meets the great outdoors,” guests will find accommodations decorated with eclectic, vintage-inspired designs, including Warp & Weft rugs and bold artwork showcasing local artists.
The Clubhouse Experience
The heart of the property is the Clubhouse, a dynamic social hub designed for events such as music performances and happy hours. Furthermore, the Clubhouse includes the reception area, an indoor fire pit, a lounge, and a bar. Guests can enjoy a menu featuring sandwiches, wraps, and pizzas sourced from Neversink General Store, in addition to delicious baked goods, bread, and coffee. The modern barn-inspired structure, characterized by exposed framing and beams, complements the area’s traditional architecture and opens up to a spacious landscaped area where guests can socialize and unwind.
Andrew Kline, design director at Workshop/APD, who led the Clubhouse’s design, stated, “For the Clubhouse, we set out to create an eclectic gathering place with a hip, modern, choose-your-own-adventure vibe. The design supports a wide range of interests and ultimately creates connectivity with the outdoors, fellow travelers, and the community for a truly local, unforgettable experience.”
Activities in the Region
Guests will have complimentary bikes available for exploring the region, which is rich in trails and recreational opportunities. Off-site activities include mindfulness practices, forest bathing experiences, rock and ice climbing, snowshoeing, and fly-fishing. Nightly rates at Autocamp Catskills start at $129, providing an affordable glamping option to experience this magnificent area.
