Experience Luxury: Book Your Spot on the First-Ever North Pole Cruise

Expedition Cruise to the North Pole

If the North Pole is on the top of your travel list, prepare for an extraordinary adventure. Luxury tour operator Abercrombie & Kent (A&K) has just announced its expedition cruise itineraries for the 2024 — 2025 season, which will include a trip to the North Pole.

Stefanie Schmudde, A&K VP of product development and operations, stated, “A&K is known for taking our guests to the ends of the earth in luxury, but never before have we been able to offer an experience like this — our first expedition to the North Pole.”

New Itineraries from Abercrombie & Kent

The 18-day voyage will set sail from the Norwegian archipelago of Svalbard on July 12, 2024. While details are still being finalized, travelers can expect to see polar bears, walruses, and seals en route to the Arctic region. Guests will embark on Le Commandant Charcot, a luxurious ship from Ponant. This vessel is a true icebreaker and one of the few passenger ships capable of reaching the North Pole, where sea ice can reach thicknesses of six to ten feet.

Unique Destinations in 2024

A&K is also introducing two new itineraries in 2024, diversifying its offerings beyond the North Pole. Moreover, destinations like Tanzania and the Seychelles are part of their roster. New experiences are set to launch this year, alongside traditional favorites like Antarctica and Italy.

The Saudi Arabia itinerary will run from October 16 to October 30, 2024, with calls in Turkey and Greece, while the Solomon Islands itinerary is planned from October 17 to October 30, 2024, featuring stops in Papua New Guinea.

Although prices for these exciting new sailings are yet to be announced, interested travelers can visit abercrombiekent.com to review the complete luxury expedition cruise schedule for 2023 through 2025.
