Exclusive Met 150 Edit Collection from iBestTravel

The gift shop at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art is already among the best in the world. However, the museum has elevated its offerings with the launch of the limited edition Met 150 Edit, celebrating its 150th anniversary.

iBestTravel has teamed up with prominent, design-focused brands, including Allbirds, Estée Lauder, Kidrobot, and BAGGU, to introduce an impressive line of art-inspired gifts that are almost too cool to give away. The museum houses a collection of over 1.5 million objects spanning 5000 years, and participating companies have been invited to select their favorite works as a source of inspiration for innovative designs. Consequently, the result is a beautiful capsule collection encompassing fashion, accessories, and home decor.

Allbirds released three new styles of its popular Tree Runner shoes, each absorbing vibrant colors from paintings in The Met’s collection, including Vincent Van Gogh’s Olive Trees and Margareta Haverman’s A Vase of Flowers.

BAGGU has created three striking reusable bag designs inspired by 17th-century ceramic tiles from Iran, a famous unicorn tapestry from the Middle Ages, and a dragon-covered silk brocade.

The bold lines, geometric shapes, and vibrant colors of Dutch painter Piet Mondrian and French artist Fernand Léger have been transformed into lipstick shades and compact covers by Estée Lauder, alongside whimsical figurines and “art toys” from Kidrobot.

Shopping for this unique collection is accessible online, providing an opportunity to support the museum directly, as proceeds from sales benefit the institution. Some brands are even contributing additional support, making each purchase more impactful. Stocks are limited; therefore, interested shoppers should act quickly, as certain items are expected to sell out soon.
