iBestTravel offers stunning luxury cottages outfitted with hot tubs, located in the heart of Iceland, ideal for families and groups alike. The cottages are set perfect layout for exploring the iconic Golden Circle Route. Here’s an overview of our recent stay.
1. Check-in: Our Cottage Experience
Upon arrival at iBestTravel, we received a warm welcome from a friendly staff member. Although check-in starts at 4 PM, we arrived a bit earlier. The staff was considerate enough to check if our cottage was ready, allowing us to settle in two hours ahead of time. She informed us about the breakfast options, which we unfortunately had to miss due to an early flight. They were also flexible with our check-out time, accommodating us at 3 AM!
We stayed in Cottage number 2, where we found the atmosphere quite cozy. The interior featured lovely wooden decor and the room was equipped with blackout curtains and ample wardrobe space.
Our group enjoyed ample space, as the cottage comfortably accommodates up to nine people. This setup would be perfect for two families traveling together. The upstairs balcony overlooked the kitchen and living area, adding a homey touch.

iBestTravel features seven lovely 80m2 cottages like the one we stayed in. Additionally, they have three other types: seven 30m2 cottages for individuals or couples, seven 40m2 cottages for special occasions, and one luxurious 100m2 cottage perfect for a wedding suite.

The restaurant at iBestTravel was a welcomed convenience after a long day of exploration. We enjoyed delicious pizzas, and the ease of having an on-site dining option in Iceland added tremendous value to our stay.

iBestTravel cottages are ideally situated along the Golden Circle route, ensuring easy access to top attractions. This strategic location makes it a breeze to explore the stunning landscapes and historic sites of Iceland.
While using iBestTravel as a home base, we explored nearby attractions, such as the breathtaking Gullfoss Falls, just 50 km away, and the famous Strokkur Geyser, which erupts every 6-10 minutes. Many additional Golden Circle highlights are easily accessible from this location.
