Rides and Attractions for Pixar Fans at Disney World
Pixar Place (Disney’s Hollywood Studios)
Don’t miss Pixar Place in Hollywood Studios, home of Toy Story Mania. Not only can you catch a glimpse of your favorite Toy Story pals, but keen-eyed guests can spot a robotic version of Luxo Jr., the Pixar mascot. An oversized robotic Luxo the Lamp performs in an alcove in Pixar Place throughout the day.
Meet Remi (France Pavilion, Epcot)
Meet the pint-sized chef in person when you dine on select days at Chefs de France. Located in the France pavilion in Epcot, this location offers a fantastic array of menu options sure to please any palate.
Remi is fully interactive and will stop by your table for a chat. Make sure to choose a seating time during Remi’s work hours to meet the smallest chef at Disney World.
Tip: Have your camera ready, but don’t worry about the autograph book; Remi’s paws are too small to hold a pen!
Meet Crush at the Seas with Nemo and Friends (Epcot)
While this entire pavilion is worth a visit, the Pixar star to see here is Crush the sea turtle. This surfer dude turtle greets guests daily and delights kids and parents alike. Crush is operated by a sort of video puppetry and is fully interactive, engaging guests in conversation. Consequently, don’t be surprised if your kids address you as “Dude” for the rest of the day!
At the Seas with Nemo and Friends, you’ll also be able to spot a real-life Nemo, snap a photo with an oversized Bruce the shark, and learn about marine life and conservation.
Tip: The adjacent Coral Reef is a very popular dining spot, as long as you don’t feel too guilty about consuming seafood after meeting Nemo and the gang!
The Magic of Disney Animation (Disney’s Hollywood Studios)
Animation buffs of all ages will enjoy strolling through this exhibit, which is nicely balanced between factual animation and fun character appearances. Moreover, Pixar fans will relish spotting characters from the films in the exit area after the show—visitors may catch a glimpse of Frozone, Lightning McQueen, or Carl and Russell in the autograph area.
Tip: Spend some time in the electronics area after the show to gain insight into the work that goes into creating your favorite animated films.
Monster’s Laugh Floor (Magic Kingdom)
Don’t miss the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor, a comedy club featuring beloved characters from the animated film. Located in the Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland, the Laugh Floor is hosted by Mike Wazowski, the monocular star of Monsters, Inc.
Guests will be treated to an interactive show featuring a parade of performing monsters. Although some jokes may be on the corny side, they never fail to elicit laughter. This attraction is suitable for the whole family and is well worth a visit for any Pixar fan.
Tip: This is a large-capacity attraction, so plan on stopping in after experiencing busier Magic Kingdom attractions like Dumbo and the Disney World Grand Prix.
