A Fokker 50 turboprop plane made an emergency landing on its belly at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi after the landing gear malfunctioned on Sunday. Fortunately, there were six people aboard, and no injuries were reported. Consequently, the airport, being Kenya’s largest, had to temporarily suspend incoming flights and redirect them to Mombasa.
Later on Sunday, authorities confirmed that the crash had been cleared and the runway was reopened for operations. This incident highlights the importance of safety protocols in aviation and the efficient handling of emergencies at major airports.
