Naomi Campbell’s Precautionary Measures for Air Travel During COVID-19
We’re all taking precautions to avoid contracting COVID-19, but supermodel Naomi Campbell demonstrated that she was taking no chances while traveling by plane from her home city of New York. She shared an image on Instagram depicting her on a flight, dressed in a full-body hazmat suit, wearing a face mask, safety goggles, and a face shield.
As Naomi prepares to celebrate her 50th birthday later this month, she has shown her commitment to health and safety. This past March, while traveling from Los Angeles, she wore a similar outfit. Naomi explained that her attire was a DuPont Industrial & Scientific Disposable Elastic Waist, Bootie and Hood Tyvek Coverall Suit. Given the pandemic’s severity, she expressed her apprehension about flying, stating, “As this is a very sensitive time in the world, I’m not going to lie to you and say I’m not nervous to take this flight; I am.”
Traveling extensively for work, Naomi unveiled her pre-flight routine in a video on her YouTube channel, Being Naomi, back in 2019. She has always been mindful of germs, showcasing her travel bag filled with face masks. Furthermore, she demonstrated her cleaning process, which includes donning disposable gloves and sanitizing her seat, tray, TV, headrest, and entertainment remote control with anti-bacterial wipes. She remarked, “As much as I travel, I should get sick so much more with colds and stuff, and I’m blessed that I don’t. I really think this helps me – my little routine.”
In an interview with People, Naomi emphasized that COVID-19 “doesn’t discriminate,” implying that anyone can contract the virus. “We’re all in the same boat. Let’s all just protect ourselves and take the necessary measures to feel safe; that’s it. It’s really simple to me,” she stated.
