Summary of Outdoor Activities on the Norwegian Escape
The 4,200-guest Norwegian Escape is one of the largest cruise ships at sea and the largest in the Norwegian Cruise Line fleet. This cruise ship features numerous onboard activities, both indoors and outdoors. In this article, we will explore the outdoor activities available on the Norwegian Escape.
Norwegian Cruise Line chose some of the best features of the Norwegian Breakaway and Norwegian Getaway when designing the outdoor decks on the Norwegian Escape. Consequently, the new ship features a massive outdoor sports complex that includes a Ropes Course, basketball court, miniature golf course, and even a bocce ball area.
The Aqua Park on the Norwegian Escape is among the largest at sea, featuring four water slides, a Kid’s Aqua Park, two swimming pools, and four hot tubs.
Norwegian Escape Spice H2O
Located at the aft on deck 17, Spice H2O serves as the Norwegian Escape’s outdoor adults-only daytime retreat. This space includes hot tubs, a large outdoor movie screen, a bar, and a waterfall grotto for adults to enjoy and explore.
Spice H2O Waterfall Grotto
This expansive grotto features a waterfall, inviting shade, a wading area, and cozy spots perfect for intimate conversations amongst the soothing sounds of flowing water. This area is enjoyable at any time of day and opens to all guests in the evenings.
The Spice H2O Bar is a popular hub both day and night, with the outdoor space transforming into a vibrant gathering area for outdoor dance parties. The views from the aft of the Norwegian Escape are exceptional.
Norwegian Escape Ropes Course
The Ropes Course on the Norwegian Escape is as challenging as it appears. With 99 different elements, guests will traverse three stories of elevated ropes that stretch across the width of the cruise ship. The course features two Planks, which are six-inch wide beams extending eight feet over the water, creating an exhilarating experience.
For the younger guests, there’s a dedicated Ropes Course designed specifically for kids, complete with its own two Sky Rails.
If the Ropes Course doesn’t wear out the kids and adults, then perhaps the Aqua Park will.
Norwegian Escape Aqua Park
The Aqua Park is one of the largest at sea, featuring four multi-story water slides, designated areas for kids, two swimming pools, and four hot tubs. The Aqua Racer slide allows competitors to race side-by-side on tubes. Additionally, the Aqua Park includes two side-by-side Free Falls, which create an exhilarating drop into a thrilling loop.
For those seeking a more relaxed experience, there is also a gentler open flume slide. The Kid’s Aqua Park features an enclosed tube slide, a two-story climbing structure, water cannons, and buckets that delightfully drench excited children.
Norwegian Escape Pool Deck
For guests looking to unwind, the Norwegian Escape offers a swimming pool, hot tubs, and lounge chairs. The pool deck also features large video screens to keep you entertained while relaxing.
Outdoor Swimming Pool on the Norwegian Escape
The Norwegian Escape swimming pool is spacious, featuring a small stage for entertaining guests with live performances.
Norwegian Escape at Sea
The Guy Harvey hull art adorning the bow of the Norwegian Escape reflects the renowned marine wildlife artist’s distinctive style. This artistic representation is particularly fitting for a cruise ship based in Miami.
