NORWEGIAN GETAWAY: AN OVERVIEW

Introduction to Norwegian Getaway

Norwegian Cruise Line welcomed the 4,000-passenger Norwegian Getaway to its fleet at an exciting christening event in February 2014. The ship currently sails to the Caribbean from its home port of Miami.

In August 2016, a group from the Rio Summer Olympics chartered the entire ship to house Olympic VIPs. Depending on their status, some stayed in the regular cabins and suites, while the fortunate ones stayed in The Haven.

In the spring of 2017, the Norwegian Getaway repositioned to northern Europe, where she sailed 9-day Baltic cruises until the fall of 2017, when she returned to Miami.

Although the Norwegian Getaway is similar to its sister ship, Norwegian Breakaway, cruise travelers can also enjoy different venues and entertainment options on this newer ship.
