For many, including Wölffer, wine represents a quintessential aspect of the Hamptons lifestyle. A visit to Wölffer Estate is essential, known for its award-winning wines since its establishment in 1988.

“A must is to visit in the early afternoon for a proper wine tasting at the main estate and then a fun-filled sunset experience at The Wine Stand,” Wölffer explains. “You have to have both experiences. Trying all our wines with our incredible team while enjoying delicious bites is a quintessential experience in the Hamptons.”

In addition to tastings, Wölffer highlights that The Wine Stand on weekend evenings is the place to be due to live music and stunning sunsets.

3. Where to Eat

Wölffer chooses a more relaxed dining experience focusing on quality and ambience. “I love Estia’s for breakfast on Sag Harbor Turnpike. Other favorites include Carissa’s and Harbor Market,” she shares. Don’t miss the organic corn tortilla with fried egg, black beans, avocado, queso fresco, and pico de gallo.

For dinner, her must-visit spots include Wölffer Kitchen, Tutto il Giorno, and Sen in Sag Harbor. “If I’m willing to commute to Montauk, Crow’s Nest is a classic,” she mentions. Additionally, the mussels at Almond in Bridgehampton are a standout dish for her.

4. Where to Shop

Outside her own shop in Sag Harbor, Wölffer also recommends several other local stores. “Lazypoint in Amagansett has amazing vintage finds. Sage and Madison in Sag Harbor is perfect for gifts, while Stella and Ruby offers the best kids’ clothing.” She also enjoys shopping for surfer girl styles at Warm in Amagansett and home accessories at Clic in East Hampton.

5. Where to Hang

For active days, Wölffer suggests hiking the dunes in Napeague, visiting the Parrish Art Museum, and exploring Guild Hall. Other recommendations include the Eric Firestone Gallery in East Hampton, the Jackson Pollock house, and the Art Barge. If you’re looking for live music, Wölffer recommends checking out Stephen Talkhouse and taking a scenic boat day.
