Phoenix Oktoberfest 2025: Celebrate German Culture and Brews

When Oktoberfest comes around, and you get that urge for donning your lederhosen, dancing the polka, and eating wienerschnitzel, here are the best places around town where you can join in the fun. These Oktoberfest events are listed in date order.

Old World Oktoberfest

Celebrate German heritage and culture at a traditional German “Volksfest” in Peoria. This event, held on September 22 and 23, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., features Bavarian brews, live music, traditional dancing, and activities for children. Enjoy a variety of authentic German foods and take home unique products. Admission is $5, and it’s free for ages 20 and younger. The venue is Centennial Plaza, near the Main Peoria Public Library.

Fountain Hills Oktoberfest

This event occurs on September 29 and 30, 2017, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Fountain Park in Fountain Hills. Expect plenty of delicious food options, including pretzels and schnitzel, complemented by lively polka music and German beers.

SanTan Brewing Oktoberfest

On September 30, 2017, from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., join a variety of fun activities including a brat eating contest, stein holding competitions, and wiener dog races. Enjoy live performances from Reel Big Fish and Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers. The festival takes place at Dr. AJ Chandler Park in Chandler.

Ales on Rails on the Verde Canyon Railroad

Every Thursday through Sunday in October 2017, starting at 11 a.m., enjoy a scenic train ride from Clarkdale featuring a delicious lunch of German sausages, pretzels, and more, along with polka music. The “Ales on Rails” train rides offer a beer tasting experience with a $10 logo beer glass, which includes five beer tastings.

Four Peaks Oktoberfest

This annual celebration from October 13 – 15, 2017, at Tempe Town Lake features various live entertainment stages, beer gardens, and fun activities for all ages. Enjoy traditional music, entertainment, and a carnival atmosphere. Admission is free, with charges for rides and carnival games.

Oktoberfest for Parkinson’s Fundraiser

This event takes place on Saturday, October 21, 2017, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and features live music, delicious food, craft beers, and raffle prizes. Admission is $20 in advance or $40 on the event day. Special pricing is available for attendees with Parkinson’s and their care partners. Proceeds support research for better treatments and a cure for Parkinson’s disease, as well as assist organizations serving those affected.
