Pink Receives Icon Award at Billboard Music Awards
Alecia Moore, the powerhouse singer better known as Pink, is receiving the Icon Award at Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards.
The 41-year-old is the 10th artist to receive the award, following in the footsteps of performers such as Prince, Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey, and Stevie Wonder. This prestigious honor “recognizes outstanding artists who have achieved excellence on the Billboard charts and have made an indelible mark on music itself.”
Moreover, Pink will perform at Sunday night’s show, which is being hosted by Nick Jonas at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
“As a little girl, I always dreamed about being a singer and sharing my love of music with the world,” she said after her award was announced.
Pink performs on “The Tonight Show” in 2000.
