Explore the High Seas Aboard Regal Princess Cruise

Regal Princess: A Comprehensive Overview

Princess Cruises launched the Regal Princess in May 2014 in Venice. The ship spent her first summer in Europe before crossing the Atlantic for the first time in late October. Those familiar with the Regal Princess’s sister ship, the Royal Princess, will notice that while they share a similar aesthetic, a few modifications have been made to enhance enjoyment.

Moreover, the popular SeaWalk and SeaView bar continue to be featured on the Regal Princess. The addition of a captivating poolside fountain show on the Lido Deck and engaging entertainment options for kids of all ages, thanks to a partnership with Discovery Communications, make the ship a family-friendly choice. Additionally, a collaboration with renowned chocolatier Norman Love introduces exciting “Chocolate Journeys,” featuring delightful desserts, drinks, and tasting events.

The Regal Princess embarked on her inaugural summer in the Mediterranean prior to transitioning to her winter homeport in Ft. Lauderdale. The ship operates 7-day cruises from Ft. Lauderdale to the eastern Caribbean, including stops at Princess Cays, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten.

From May through August, the Regal Princess offers a scenic Baltic and Northern European itinerary. This outstanding journey allows guests to sail round-trip from various ports such as Copenhagen, Berlin/Warnemunde, or St. Petersburg, with additional port calls in Oslo, Gothenburg, Stockholm, Helsinki, and Tallinn. While most guests board in Copenhagen, many who wish to see Berlin often spend time there before taking the train to Warnemunde. Primarily, Russian travelers board in St. Petersburg due to visa requirements for non-cruise ship guests.

Ultimately, regardless of the destination, the Regal Princess provides excellent value for every vacation dollar spent, while creating cherished memories of this remarkable ship and her captivating ports of call.
