Visiting the Rice Fields

The Sanur rice fields feature a newly constructed walking path that is in excellent condition. Visitors can easily take a bicycle or scooter for a scenic ride through this beautiful landscape.

However, the true beauty of this location lies in its potential for stunning drone photography. During our visit, we had the entire area to ourselves, allowing us to capture breathtaking aerial views of the surrounding green rice fields. The patchwork of agricultural landscapes was visually striking from above.

Moreover, given the rapid development in Bali, specifically in the Sanur and Denpasar regions, it is worth noting that these rice paddies may soon be replaced with commercial buildings. Therefore, it is advisable to appreciate and photograph this picturesque scenery while it remains intact.

How To Get To The Sanur Rice Paddies

These enchanting rice fields are situated just west of Sanur, Bali, in close proximity to Denpasar. The easiest and most efficient way to reach them is by renting a scooter or hiring a private car and driver, options that are conveniently available online.

The nearest landmark to the rice fields is Warung Babi Guling Galung. From this location, visitors should walk north for approximately 500 meters to find the entrance to the jogging path.

While exploring, it is important to be cautious. The full path extends for several miles, but stepping off the concrete path to walk through the rice fields could lead to unexpected encounters, such as with the local snakes.
