Heineken Beer Smuggling Attempt Foiled in Saudi Arabia
Police have confiscated over 48,000 cans of Heineken beer on the border between Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
The cans of beer were being smuggled in disguised as Pepsi cans, and covered in stickers bearing the soft drink logo. KSA Customs posted the discovery on their Twitter account, featuring images of officers peeling away the stickers to reveal the beer cans underneath. Alcohol remains strictly forbidden throughout Saudi Arabia; however, smugglers are routinely caught attempting to evade authorities.
