Ukrainians are now forced into a war they did not choose, and their country did not provoke. This tragic situation prompts us to reflect on the power of travel as a force for good. Connecting across borders and cultures can change lives; it fosters understanding and reveals our shared humanity.

How You Can Help

In a time where helplessness can feel overwhelming, we recognize the importance of taking action. Together with our sister travel publication, we have made donations to two organizations designed to empower Ukraine during this crisis.

• We have contributed a combined $10,000 to support the Kyiv Independent, a Ukrainian newspaper providing crucial on-the-ground reporting. In warfare, disinformation is often spread to create confusion. Therefore, supporting a free press remains vital, particularly for journalists deeply embedded within their communities.
• Additionally, a combined $10,000 has been donated to Nova Ukraine, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness and delivering humanitarian aid to Ukraine. Local organizations already on the ground are best positioned to help people in urgent need swiftly and effectively.
