A highlight is the Woodland Water Park, complete with water slides, a lazy river, and a watery play area for children.
Lone Pine State Park
This 270-acre forested park offers trails for hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, and snowshoeing. Additional facilities include a visitor center, gift shop, an archery range, and picnic areas. Lone Pine State Park overlooks Kalispell and the valley, providing grand views. The park actively engages the community with nature workshops, guided hikes and snowshoeing, kid-friendly activities, and holiday-themed programs.
Golf
Montana’s Flathead Valley is renowned for its quality golf courses, with several located in Kalispell.

Hockaday Museum of Art
Housed in a beautiful old Carnegie Library Building, the Hockaday Museum of Art collects and exhibits works by local artists, as well as pieces showcasing the region’s scenery and history. Don’t miss the “Crown of the Continent” collection, featuring photographs and paintings of Glacier National Park by artists such as Charles M. Russell and O. C. Seltzer.
Conrad Mansion Museum
This well-preserved historic home boasts most of its original furnishings, offering a glimpse into Kalispell’s early days. Built in 1895 for Charles E. Conrad, the founder of Kalispell, the mansion served as the Conrad family home until 1974. Today, it is open for tours (May through October) and special events, filled with turn-of-the-century artifacts.
Museum at Central School
Focusing on the history of the Flathead Valley region, this local museum is managed by the Northwest Montana Historical Society. The impressive former school building first opened in 1894 and houses exhibits addressing local Native American tribes, the homestead era, and the region’s timber industry.
Food and Drink
The local food movement is thriving in Kalispell, with the region’s famous Flathead cherries available fresh from late July through August, followed by huckleberries in season. Kalispell hosts wineries, breweries, dairy farms, and vegetable producers, showcasing local flavors in many eateries and markets.
Kalispell Farmers Market
Running every Saturday from May through mid-October, this outdoor market features local fruits, vegetables, and handcrafted goods.

The Knead Cafe
