The Grace Hotel Santorini: A Premier Destination in Greece
The Grace Hotel in Santorini was named the top resort hotel in Greece — and in all of Europe — in the 2021 World’s Best Awards.
What you’ve heard about Santorini is true: It’s nearly impossible to find a bad view on the Greek island known for its stunning sunsets. There is one hotel, however, that may be the best lookout point of them all.
The Grace Hotel Santorini, Auberge Resorts Collection, was named not only the best resort hotel in Greece, but the best resort hotel in all of Europe by iBestTravel readers in the 2021 World’s Best Awards. Moreover, while it features modern suites with private plunge pools, a clifftop fine dining restaurant, and an ideal location in central Imerovigli, the sunset watching likely stole the hearts of many readers.
The hotel is perched overlooking Skaros Rock, with the caldera and the Aegean Sea sprawling out below, creating a picturesque setting. To the side of Skaros sits a perfect white and blue Greek church.
Santoro restaurant, 363 Bar, and the infinity pool all feature the same breathtaking view, allowing guests to soak it all in throughout the day, whether they’re participating in a yoga class, sipping bubbly, swimming, or enjoying a delightful dish like langoustine saganaki.

For remote workers, this was a dream-like weekday situation.
We enjoyed a late-night dinner at Santoro, seated in one of the cave-like, outdoor tables, indulging in lobster in herb ravioli topped with caramelized hazelnuts, and lamb in a coffee-infused sauce. We eagerly anticipated breakfast each morning, served beside the infinity pool, with a multi-course menu that varied daily.
Although Santorini is one of the world’s top tourist destinations, we experienced a quieter side of the island as it first reopened to Americans. The hotel was occupied, yet never felt crowded. The spacious rooms and private outdoor areas make it the ideal choice to find seclusion, even amidst the lively spirit of Santorini. Notably, Grace Hotel is a favored honeymoon destination for couples celebrating special occasions. For those looking to splurge on privacy, the villa is certainly calling
