Soča Trail

When people think about walking in Slovenia, the trek from the source of the Soča River to the heart of Triglav National Park is likely what they envision. The moderately challenging Soča Trail is a classic option, requiring solid boots, water, sunscreen, and a good pack.
Starting from the Soča’s source, just north of Trenta, you’ll head downstream with Mount Triglav, the country’s highest peak, to your left. The trail features occasional suspension bridges teetering over deep gorges with emerald waters below.
Slovenia Green Solčava Panoramic Road

The Solčava Region, nestled in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, about 65km (40 miles) north of Ljubljana, is a great way to discover Slovenia’s scenic spaces. Following the 37km (23 mile) Slovenia Green Solčava Panoramic Road, explorers can traverse the green Logar, Robanov Kot, and Matkov Kot valleys, visiting environmentally-certified destinations.
Rog Hiking Trail

The nature capital of Slovenia, the Kočevsko Region, is primarily covered in forests. The Rog Hiking Trail follows the Kočevski Rog forest and showcases large swaths of this wild area, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List as an exemplary temperate forest.
Starting on the banks of Kočevsko Lake, hikers can enjoy views of bears, foxes, and even lynx. The trail leads to the ancient Željne Caves and culminates with views of the Queen of Rog, a fir tree over 500 years old.
Nanos Plateau Trail
