Top Travel Technology Innovations Unveiled at CES 2025

Every January, after New Year’s celebrations die down, the tech industry gathers in Las Vegas to showcase the future. Although many products and technologies are on display—ranging from basic items like TVs and phones to cutting-edge innovations like robots and drones—the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is also the prime venue to discover the most innovative travel tech and gadgets for the coming year and beyond.

Delta’s Tech Upgrades

The airline industry is soaring into the new decade. Delta CEO Ed Bastian was the keynote speaker during the State of the Industry Address at the show, unveiling some of the company’s exciting plans, including free onboard WiFi and a permanent GPS bag tag that will track your luggage globally.

Among the features travelers can look forward to this year is the evolution of the Fly Delta app, which will notify users when their travel group is boarding, not just the plane. Moreover, you will be able to link your Delta SkyMiles with your Lyft account to earn extra miles. A long-term partnership with Lyft aims to create a seamless Delta-Lyft experience at airports, allowing users to pay for rides with miles and earn miles while traveling.

Another exciting addition is the on-the-go in-flight entertainment, enabling passengers to begin watching free entertainment upon check-in and finish watching it onboard.
